Short Bio:  I am currently Program Manager/Senior Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Operations Division, where I am responsible for leading an expert and talented team in planning, performance metrics, data analytics, and program support functions. Previously I was Program Manager in the Construction Division and Liaison for Risk Management, Construction Partnering, Civil Rights, Performance Reporting, Process Analysis, Chairing CEI Selection Committees, and the General Assembly analysis support functions. Over the years, I have held other leadership roles at VDOT, including the VDOT Strategic Planning Manager, VDOT Staff Planning Manager, and Senior Policy and Planning Analyst positions. Overall, I have close to thirty years of experience in engineering, transportation, program/project management, production/distribution management, policy and legislative analysis, partnering/risk management, strategic planning, policy interpretation, and process analysis/improvement in the Private Sector, as well as the Federal and State government. My undergrad education is in industrial engineering and I hold an M.S. in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, a Top 10 Engineering College in the Nation. I am also a graduate of the VDOT Executive and Advanced Leadership Institute and the Transportation Construction Management Institute. I have earned various professional credentials including the Registered Professional Licensed Engineer (PE) designation, Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), and the Certified Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR). At the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers, I have served in the past on the Construction National Committee, was Asst. VP for the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Past President of the Richmond Chapter. Currently, I serve on the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a University Program Evaluator, The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) with the PE Exam Committee, and am an Advisory Board Member at the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). I have conducted numerous professional presentations and workshops at various Regional and National Conferences.
